  Welcome to another incredible Vintage Watch Corner Offering. What a slice of Art Deco
  
  
  There are times when I run across a project that I want to put my own stamp in it. This is the case here.
  
  
  I carefully assembled all the necessary parts to create this beautiful timepiece from a bygone era.
  
  
  I stepped back in time and became a watch jobber. These were craftsman that were given the tasks of taking pocket watch movements ( preferably 3/0 and 0 size) and finding watch cases, dials, hands, watch bands and creating wrist watches. This was commonly done in the fledgling wrist watch market just after WW1 and into the late 1920’s. There were case manufacturers that just made cases for Waltham, Elgin, Illinois and several other companies.
  
  
  So, I found this beautiful cushion case and gently polished it to bring it back to a a new old stock finish. I carefully applied the black enamel back in the carved relief of the bezel, it looks stunning!
  
  
  I sent the dial out to have it professionally restored to have restored. Since the numbers were raised and gold in color, I added gold hands. It gets better, I wanted a high caliber movement to compliment this venture. I sourced a 15 Jewel power plant to complete this project. I had it completely overhauled to insure that it would run beautifully.
  
  
  The watch was fitted with a 20MM black alligator watch band with a high polished slightly oversized stainless steel buckle. It looks sublime!
  
  
  I installed a new old stock crystal
  
  
  The watch case measures 31MM from 9 o’clock to 3 o’clock
  
  
  The watch case measures 31MM from 6 o’clock to 12 o’clock.
  
  
  The watch case measures 36MM from 9 o’clock to 3 o’clock with the crown
  
  
  The watch case measures 38MM from 6 o’clock to 12 o’clock with the lugs
  
  
  This watch is a real gem, you will not be disappointed. I am proud of this piece, it is elegant, yet dressy, it is understated yet distinctive. I wore it once and the comments I received were many. It made me smile knowing that.
